Order Processing

For contiguous U.S. Orders: Processing time can take between 1-2 business days.

Shipping

Build The Power offers a variety of shipping methods as listed below as well as free ground shipping on many of our products. Any items that qualify for free shipping will be identified on the product listing page. Shipping times are based on business days (Monday to Friday) excluding Holidays and weekends. Depending on your order, your purchase may arrive in multiple packages. For orders with a value of $200 or more, a signature may be required. If you would like to waive the signature requirement, you must let a representative know as soon as possible at 1-800-831-9889.

Please note that not all items are eligible for Two Day or One Day shipping due to size, weight, hazardous materials, and delivery address.

Shipments cannot be rerouted once a package has been shipped.

Any orders in need of replacements due to shipping errors or damages in shipment will be sent out via ground shipping. Replacement orders cannot be expedited.

Shipping damages must be reported within 14 days upon delivery date.  Photos of the damage, shipping label, and outer box must be provided to process the damage claim.

We understand that often professional installation is desired. However, we strongly suggest that you wait until you have received and verified the condition of your order before scheduling any work to commence with your new Build The Power products. While we strive to provide the best quality products and expect a high level of service from our third-party carriers, we recognize that at times a product or particular delivery method does not meet our standards or quoted delivery date. Due to unforeseen issues potentially occurring, we strongly suggest that you wait until you receive and verify your products as we cannot be held responsible for delays in scheduled work.

Continental U.S.

Ground: Most Build The Power products have free ground shipping offered and can take between 3-5 business days.

Two Day: Two Day shipping is available for orders shipped within the 48 contiguous United States. Second Day delivery orders will be processed on the same day if placed by 12:00pm PST on a business day or processed the following business day if placed after 12pm PST.

All orders must have a valid street address, expedited orders cannot be sent to PO Boxes. Again, as mentioned above, not all items are eligible for Two Day shipping due to size, weight, hazardous materials, and delivery address.

One Day: One Day shipping is available for orders shipped within the 48 contiguous United States. One Day delivery orders will be processed on the same day if placed by 12:00 pm PST on a business day or processed the following business day if placed after 12:00 pm PST.

All orders must have a valid street address, expedited orders cannot be sent to PO Boxes. Again, as mentioned above, not all items are eligible for One Day shipping due to size, weight, hazardous materials, and delivery address.

Freight: Panels larger than 200 Watts must be shipped by freight and do not qualify for free shipping. Please note that return orders by freight will have a $500 charge for delivery and return transportation ($250 each way).

Other freight delivery charges are listed below:

-Delivery to remote areas may incur additional cost up to $50 - $270.

-Delivery to limited access areas such as schools or churches will incur additional cost starting at $50.

-Deliveries that require a change of address or rescheduling will be subject to storage fees ($20/day) and/or rerouting fees ($75 - $300).

International

Depending on where you’re located, Build The Power may be able to ship a purchase internationally. Please email us your address at sales@buildthepower.com so that we can check the rate and service area to confirm if shipment is possible. International orders may take 5-7 business days for shipping.

Returns

Build The Power would like to ensure that your shopping experience is unsurpassed, even for a return. We realize that for whatever reason, you may decide to return your purchase.

For new, undamaged, and unmodified products, Build The Power offers a 30-day refund policy. Products returned outside of 30 days require special authorization. Any return submitted for a refund will be subject to a 15% restocking fee and shipping costs. In the case of product modification, Build The Power will not accept your return as it voids our warranty policy. If you send us a modified product for a refund, the product will be returned to you at your expense.

Please Note that Build The Power will waive the restocking fee and pay the shipping costs of the returned item(s) for the following reasons: carrier damage, defective product, product inconsistent with advertisements, incorrect product, or for extra product you did not order. For any other reasons, customers are responsible for shipping and restocking fees.

Build The Power values our customer relationships. Therefore, we offer you a brief explanation for our restocking fee. All customer return items must be inspected and tested by our Technical Support and Engineering departments for performance and continuity before they can be restocked for sale. This fee is not a simple handling fee, but an attempt to cover the labor costs involved with customer returns.

Replacements

If there is any issue with your product, please contact our Tech Support at sales@buildthepower.com. Our representatives will assist you in troubleshooting your product and if any damage occurred due to the manufacturing or our shipping process, you will be eligible for a refund or replacement. In the event a replacement is necessary, we will arrange for return shipping of the old part. Once the part has been received and inspected, we will ship the replacement part. If damage occurs due to improper handling during the setup or installation whether done professionally or by the customer, then the product is no longer eligible for replacement or refund.

For damages during transit, please notify us immediately. It is important to open packages to ensure they arrived safely. We cannot honor any damage claims past 21 days due to FedEx's claim policy. Photos of the damages, outer packaging, and label are required and should be submitted to sales@buildthepower.com

Warranty Policy

This LIMITED WARRANTY from Build The Power warrants to the original consumer purchaser that this Build The Power product will be free from defects in workmanship and material under normal consumer use during the applicable warranty period identified in Paragraph 2, below, subject to the exclusions set forth in Paragraph 5, below. The foregoing provisions state Build The Power's entire liability, and your exclusive remedy, for any breach of warranty, express or implied. Build The Power will not assume, nor authorize any person to assume for it, any other liability in connection with the sales of Build The Power products.

WARRANTY PERIOD.

The warranty period for Build The Power's products:

1) Rigid Solar Panels: 25-year power output warranty

2) Portable Briefcase Solar Panels: 5 year power output warranty

3) Portable Power Stations: 2 years

4) Solar Charge Controllers: 2 Years (MPPT) | 6 Months (PWM)

5) Inverters: 2 years

6) Flexible Solar Panel: 1 year workmanship and materials

7) CIGS Flexible Solar Panel: 1 year workmanship and materials

8) LiFePO4 Lithium Battery: 3 year manufacturer defect

The warranty period for all other Build The Power products and components is one (1) year from the date of original purchase by the original consumer. A sales receipt from the original consumer purchase, or other reasonable documentary proof, is required in order to establish the start of the warranty period. If you completed the online Build The Power Product Registration Form within thirty (30) days after purchasing your product, that registration can also establish the start date of the warranty period (but warranty coverage is not conditioned upon such registration).

REMEDY. Build The Power will, at its option, (1) repair the product at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts, or (2) exchange the product with a product that is new or which has been manufactured from new or serviceable used parts and is at least functionally equivalent to the original product. A replacement product/part assumes the remaining warranty of the original product or ninety (90) days from the date of replacement or repair, whichever provides longer coverage for you. When a product or part is exchanged, any replacement item becomes your property and the replaced item becomes Build The Power’s property. .

LIMITED TO ORIGINAL CONSUMER BUYER. This warranty is not transferable to any subsequent owner of a Build The Power product.

EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS. This Limited Warranty applies only to hardware products manufactured by or for Build The Power that can be identified by the "Build The Power" trademark, trade name, or logo affixed to them. The Limited Warranty does not apply to any non-Build The Power products, even if packaged or sold with Build The Power products. Non-Build The Power manufacturers, or suppliers may provide their own warranties. This warranty does not apply to: (i) to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, misapplication, or non-Build The Power products; (ii) to damage caused by service performed by anyone other than Build The Power; (iii) to a product or a part that has been modified without the written permission of Build The Power; (iv) to a product where any Build The Power serial number has been removed or defaced, or (v) to any product purchased through an online auction house. This limited warranty does not apply to any battery cell or product containing a battery cell unless the battery cell has been fully charged by you within seven (7) days after your purchase of the product and at least once every 6 months thereafter.

THIS WARRANTY AND REMEDIES SET FORTH ABOVE ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, REMEDIES AND CONDITIONS, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. Build The Power SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IF Build The Power CANNOT LAWFULLY DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, ALL SUCH WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY. No Build The Power reseller, agent, or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension, or addition to this warranty. IN NO EVENT WILL Build The Power BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM ANY USE OR MALFUNCTION OF ANY Build The Power PRODUCT, OR FROM ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY, INCLUDING DAMAGE TO OTHER DEVICES. IN NO EVENT WILL Build The Power'S LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE AND STRICT LIABILITY), OR UNDER ANY OTHER THEORY OF LIABILITY, EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE Build The Power PRODUCT. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

OBTAINING WARRANTY SERVICE. To obtain warranty service, you must contact our customer service team via email at sales@buildthepower.com. If our customer service team determines that this is a warranty matter, they will give you a Return Material Authorization ("RMA") number. You must properly package the product, clearly marking the RMA number on the package and including proof of your purchase date with the product. You must then send the product by mail or courier, with shipping costs paid by you, to Build The Power at 5550 Jurupa St Ontario, CA 91761. We will process your return and send your repaired or replacement product to you at our expense for product being shipped to locations in North America. For product purchased or being shipped outside of North America, please contact the local distributor from whom you purchased the product, or email sales@buildthepower.com to obtain further distributor information.
